Let’s put our hands together for Remo Giuffré, who launched ‘Remorandom 7: Everything Intereristing’ (and the boxed set of his seven books in this series of random, snack-sized stories, facts and curiosities) at the Bondi Golf & Diggers Club on Tuesday night. On the subject of putting hands together, the second entry in this latest volume - under A for applause - explains that it did not always involve the clapping of hands. Ancient Romans snapped fingers; the Greeks stomped feet. So, while we’re at it, let’s snap fingers and stomp feet for Remo’s wife and collaborator, Melanie Giuffre, who four nights earlier launched her book ‘Love, Bondi’ at Gertrude & Alice Cafe Bookstore. What a team! Remo’s latest gems include the ancient origins of the em dash and the hashtag, the beginnings of Cracker Night (now consigned to history), and the truth about The Knowlege, not Remo’s, yours or mine but the roadmap memory test given to London cabbies. None of this is mere trivia. There’s nothing trivial about knowledge. But it is entertaining. The launch of ‘Everytjing Interesting’ assembled just about everyone interesting - and, more importantly, interested. Chris Zinn flew in from Brissie to MC. He introduced speakers Caroline Overington (the Oz books editor), Melanie and Heather Mitchell, the star of screen and stage (who was Chris-tened as the evening’s ‘barrel girl’ for the lucky door prizes). Now there’s a subject for a future volume of Remorandom: a short history of the barrel girl.
Just a quick thank you from Gai and I for the marvellous gathering the other night. The organisation was extraordinary and the night flowed beautifully. The work load to achieve that was enormous I know and it’s a tribute to the skills you both bring to it that it all went off so seamlessly. The atmosphere in the room was one of congenial goodwill and I ran into people I hadn’t seen for ages and agreed to catch up. In essence that’s what I think community is all about. Our sculptor friend in from Brisbane was blown away commenting on what a great community Bondi had.
What a great night! It was everything I expected it to be – and more. I was very busy being host and hunting down name stickers – but I did manage to catch a range of conversation snippets, and I could feel the good vibes. Onward!
Have worn my new long sleeve milk crate top several times now. As well as being comfortable, I also enjoy the nostalgia of the design which reminds me of makeshift share housing furniture of the 1990s.
My love of reading spans 80+ years. Here I am at 4yo ... and now, these days, I have the wonderful pleasure of diving into REMORANDUM for a reading fix before I pass this wonderful Cornucopia and Copius Collection on to my Granddaughters ... Roger Foley Fogg

Size L is a great fit (I’m 6’1”, 89kgs). Colour is perfect and printing is positioned exactly where it should be.
I wore the red and white REMO striped long sleeve top every day through 324 performances of RBG. Love it.

We have been using this planner for almost 20 years- we love it- we love that weeks are laid out neatly, some holidays are given a heads up, and that the squares are a good size to make notes.

I like to encourage my kids to read, and to do this I have a bookstand where I place a book that can be read one page a day. Remorandum is perfect for this - and always has something interesting to attract attention.
These books bring me such joy! The nuggets of science, design, art, history, personality, and humour engage me in a way I haven't felt since I was a pre-teen browsing the family encyclopaedia. And with production qualities so high, I know I'll come back to them time and time again. Looking forward to 6 & 7!

A deadset classic icon 🫵 I have had Stripey tops since era of old Oxford St shop. I recently asked a question about my top. My growing Remorandum collection - Love It!
I've always said I would buy a set of these once I'm set in my career, as my parents recieved them as a gift from my great-grandfather for their wedding in '92, and like the photo, I'm still using it 30+ years later. They're here now, one for me, and one to continue the tradition. They aren't the same as the 18/8 Splayds from the '90's, but I'm sure they're equally as good. Guaranteed a 5 star from me just because you guys bothered to ship it halfway across the world. Thank you, from a Canadian brother 🤙
