Our long-loved Stripey Things are Made in Australia from 100% cotton.
It has been great to work with a local knitting mill and a maker who both dug deep to meet our development brief and its exacting specifications.
The resultant quality is thrilling.
We can honestly say that there has never been a more deluxe version of this iconic REMO product. You can feel it in the fabric (rugby weight 265gsm), and see it in the quality of the make.
You will be happy.
The fabric is knitted to our precise and time-honoured 1 to 1.5 "stripe ratio" specifications and especially for us.
Proper boat neck (but not too wide); long (4/5) sleeves and just below hip length.
Please refer to the size guide before you order. Measure something you like the size of and compare it with the table below. Having said that, the cut is quite forgiving, e.g. see Melanie in photo gallery modelling 3 different sizes: XS, S and M.

We ship from REMO in Bondi. However, just about everything bearing a design is now printed to order and shipped from a production facility in Victoria. This new process takes a little longer, but the wait is worthwhile. For Regular Shipping orders, it takes roughly 7 to 15 business days to custom print and deliver your order using Australia Post. Some places outside metropolitan areas may take a bit longer. Need them a bit faster? Select the Express delivery option and we will use that method of shipping, although this will not speed the production process itself.Please note that international orders may be subject to additional customs fees and duties, which are the responsibility of the customer.CustOMERs can return or exchange for any reason whatsoever. Please just send the items back to us at PO Box 7488 Bondi Beach 2026 in the original packaging with clear exchange or return instructions.Having said this, all REMO merchandise bearing designs is now custom made to order. We do not operate a physical store and have no use for returned t shirts. Therefore, we would ask you then to please be very careful with T Shirt size selection. There is a table on every T Shirt product page that sets out relatively exact measurements for both width and length of the various sizes. If you have a T Shirt you like and a ruler near by, you should be able to work out your size. Also, AS Colour is a relatively well known brand, especially in the Australian market, so many of you would already know your size for that brand.

A deadset classic icon 🫵 I have had Stripey tops since era of old Oxford St shop. I recently asked a question about my top. Can I say the way they communicated & handled the outcome was so IMPRESSIVE 🙏.. Get a STRIPEY, they are so great for loads of reasons & always match any occasion except deep sea diving 🤩
Fantastic quality - you can really feel it!!
The pale blue grey is subtle and very nice. The knitted fabric, as with the classic navy and white, has a very sturdy feel, and the make is great.
I really do like the stripey things to wear (I have more than one). The material is comfortable and hard wearing and I love the style. But, the only thing that stops me giving this the full 5 stars is that the sizing is wrong for me. To fit the stripey round my middle, I find that the arms are made far too long (do they really think that all large size people are 6ft tall???). Please please make some with 3/4 sleeves.
Awesome quality as always. I still have a breton-stripe Remo sweater from the early 2000s that I wear and LOVE!
Great sizing
My first purchase from your wonderful emporium back in the day was a navy natural stripe...I fell in love with the story of said ' thing' I wore it under overalls I wore it to the opera with a jaunty silk neck tie...I wore it through 3 pregnancy's. So when after 15 + yrs of wear wash repeat my thing was still the choice to throw around my shoulders cape style as I left home that day. I was walking along a busy street when a dog was hit by a car...without hesitation I whipped off my 'thing ' stopped traffic waving it around wrapped up doggy saw someone i knew into her car with dog owner we placed the striped bundle off they went to nearest vet. Later i spoke to veterinary staff. Great outcome doggy fine some scraps & shock " fantastic " i said "any chance you have the ' thing' it was mine & a favourite... " no" she said " it was covered in blood" " waste " she said gets incinerated. Now i was glad doggy was fine but gee I miss my "thing" . Cut to 2026 i just found you online and purchased the red stripe snood. Shortly I shall purchase my "thing" I am so so happy 😊 X

First we bought the classic dark blue stripe they are so comfortable and good quality that I bought the light blue , probably won't take too long before I order the red stripe .
Different from previous stripey thing but live it as much!
I've been wearing my stripey non-stop since it arrived. It's a lovely heavy cotton jersey and perfect for Brisbane winters. It's longer than I expected - it just reaches the top of my thighs- but I don't mind the extra coverage. I think I'll be enjoying my stripey for years.

Second stripey!
I was disappointed with the shape of the top. I’m a size 12 & found the top too long and too narrow at the bottom. I like the fabric & the neckline though, so decided to keep it & took it up by about 10 cms & re- hemmed it. I’m a fan of traditional things, but felt the cut was letting this garment down. I would not have bought it if I’d seen it in a shop & tried it on.

Absolutely love my new red stripes. I bought a medium - I’m a typical 10-12 in most sizes - but wish I bought a small. Nothing drastic; next purchase (I’m eyeing-off the navy, naturally), I’ll get a small. Super comfy and excellent, excellent quality. New favourite shirt for sure 🙌🏼
